BlondeSense on the mother of a deceased vet and her experience meeting with Bush. (Hint - It didn't go well)
But what she encountered was an arrogant man with eyes lacking the slightest bit of compassion, a President totally "detached from humanity" and a man who didn’t even bother to remember her son’s name when they were first introduced.
Instead of a kind gesture or a warm handshake, Sheehan said she immediately got a taste of Bush arrogance when he entered the room and "in a condescending tone and with a disgusting loud Texas accent," said: "Who we’all honorin’ here today?"
Four years ago, as the state labored to eradicate citrus canker by destroying trees, officials rejected other disease-fighting techniques, saying unproven methods would waste precious time and resources.Pass it along.
But for more than six months, the state, at the behest of then-Secretary of State Katherine Harris, did pursue one alternative method -- a very alternative method.
Researchers worked with a rabbi and a cardiologist to test "Celestial Drops," promoted as a canker inhibitor because of its "improved fractal design," "infinite levels of order" and "high energy and low entropy."
But the cure proved useless against canker. That's because it was water -- possibly, mystically blessed water.
Big buzz on Santorum book. Commetary from Crooks and Liars, Echidne, Pandagon,
From MediaMatters, an MSNBC talking head implies that Bush protesters are not patriotic.
As noted on the weblog Daily Kos, MSNBC Live anchor Amy Robach suggested that protesting President Bush's policies was unpatriotic. Following a live broadcast of President Bush's Independence Day address at West Virginia University, Robach told viewers, "There were a couple of protesters we heard with a few signs, but for the most part, looks like a very patriotic crowd."Dissent is treason. War is peace.
RawStory has an interesting article on a comparison between Clinton's and Bush's (pre-war) bombing of Iraq. Clinton dropped more bombs, but Bush (according to the DSMs) wanted to start a war.
RawStory also has a letter from Democratic Congressmembers asking Rove to explain his role in the Plame case or resign.
Finally, RawStory has a link to an AP story stating that Times reporter Mathew Cooper will still have to testify or go to jail. I guess they want some solid testimony before they indict someone.
Daedalus tells us about how the disgusting Protest Warriors play games with real protesters. These asshats have actualy been accepted by the press as real protesters in some cases.
