Touching base on Deep Throat

The Nixon/Watergate crew is for some reason being asked for if it considers Deep Throat to have made an ethical or legal decision to leak info to WaPo decades ago. Do you think a bunch of unethical bastards who considered themselves above the law were comlimentary to the man who exposed them to the world? Not so much.
---------
Raw Story has the story on John Conyers (D-MI) resolution to honor Mark "Deep Throat" Felt. I couldn't agree more.

I'm sure the wingnuts will decide that Genifer Flowers should be honored too.
---------
The Boston Globe has a great article (don't remember where I saw the link) on how malpractice insurance premiums aren't tied to lawsuits. Rather, they are tied to the stock market. As I work with MDs on a daily basis, this is a point I have argued repeatedly. The insurance companies consider docs to be just another resource to exploit. The medical field deserves better than this.
---------
The Heritage Foundation appears to be supporting a stock scam. Think Progress for the story.
---------
Again from Think Progress, Clarence Thomas has been demonstrating why more Republican SCOTUS nominees would be a bad thing.
---------
News Hounds has a great analysis of the O'Reilly projecting over the little negative reporting on Bush. Seems to think that reporting on actual abuses and scandals of the Bush Administration is off limits, while making shit up, and screaming "No war for Monica," while Bin Laden plotted in Afghanistan is for the good of the nation.
---------
More from News Hounds on FNC's need to attack Amnesty International instead of investigating the validity of the charges. Colmes appears to be growing a pair... He actually took on Hannity by making sure that the point got across that outsourcing torture and abusing prisoners is a bad message to be sending the rest of the world.

Impressive. Most impressive. But you are not a Liberal yet.
---------
Booman and Media Matters on the smearing of Hillar Clinton. Why are they so worked up over the possibilty that Hillary might run for President in 2008? They know no Bush could ever beat a Clinton. Bush Sr. wants Jeb to run. Lord protect us from aristocrats.
---------
To finish it all off, this image from Blah3. Bush with horns...
